About the role

You commission the digital backbone of Saudi Arabia's grid. Working across SEC, Aramco, and Vision 2030 substation projects, you take automation systems from SCL engineering through GOOSE messaging to full protocol verification — on our Madinah floor and on site.

What you'll do

  • Engineer and commission substation automation systems to IEC 61850, including SCL configuration and GOOSE messaging.
  • Perform full protocol verification and interoperability testing across IEDs and SCADA.
  • Support factory (FAT) and site (SAT) acceptance testing on customer deployments.
  • Diagnose and resolve communication and timing issues across the automation stack.
  • Document commissioning records and hand over to operations teams.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
  • 2–5 years commissioning substation automation or protection systems.
  • Hands-on IEC 61850 experience (SCL, GOOSE, MMS); familiarity with Modbus and SCADA.
  • Willingness to travel for field deployment across the Kingdom.
  • Fluent technical English; Arabic preferred.
